  1. Hi,
This service is one of the best service of KSRTC. Once i travelled till kannur and it is really fast. After its great success for the past few years. the bus need a replacement. ie a new model (turbo engine) ashok leyland with air suspension, push back seats, tinted glass windows etc

  2. Is there online facility for booking tickets? Actaully i need to book ticket from thiruvalla to bangalore in TVLA super deluxe. and vice versa also. Please let me know how can i book it online

  3. reservation facility is available in trvl s deluxe from bangalore.to kerala only. from tiruvalla to bangalore no reservation is there; you can get in from trvl;allp;ekm;tsr;pgt provided seats are available

  4. am from kottarakkara, this is one amoung the shedule which is regular from our depot. its has got an incredible speed n we call it as “our mookaambika bus “.

  5. it is time to re-sort schedules . all buses towards north side waits for buses from kottarakkara or trivendrum..
buses from kottarakkara to north side should move through changanasery-alappuzha-ernakulam nh47 route. it saves time and fuel.

KOTTAYAM must be made a Hub for Buses. Most Malabar passengers comes from Kottayam district and near by. Kottayam-Muvattupuzha-Thrissur Route gets better patronage . waiting for buses from distant places like kottarakkara or pathanimthetta and about the uncertain nature if the bus will come in proper time is a issue for people in muvattupuzha, perumbavoor, kalady towns. remember, the interior towns like kothamangalam, thodupuzha, pala and highranges rely on these KSRTC buses . time to make KOTTAAYAM as a KSRTC Bus Hub where most long distance buses starts from Kottayam through MC Road. I have seen that Long distance buses gets emptied at Perumbavoor,Muvattupuzha and maximum at Kottayam. Time KSRTC resolve the unbalance created by old minister who made services operated from a distant town.
without rail connectivity and Malabar Connections, Kottayam has to be the choice. unbalance is created when small centers in the southern kerala are made having most long distance schedules.
ps: nothing against kottarakkera and all. buses save time by connecting to NH47. at the same time, MC road gets frequent Bus service and more Profitable if Kottayam made the long distance schedules centre.

  6. in 2006 this route was adopted by a super fast….at that time to reduce work of driver…there will be 2 buses in this route…one will start from kollur with kottarakkara name board but only upto kannur and the remaining passengers will be shifted to another kottarakkara fast…the second bus will wait for the first one..return also like this same…one will leave from kottarakkara with kollur board but only upto kannur….

i have travelled in it in2006…from kollur to edappal…so we also insisted to shift from first bus to second one from kannur…at that time it is like a reservation system…conductor from first bus will call the conductor of second bus and inform him how many passengers were taken ticket to places after kannur and to reserve their seats from others.

  7. the interstate service was started from kottarakara on 1992 as a limited stop fast passenger while sri.R.Balakrishnapillai was the transport minister. from 1992 it became a superfast service.driver from kottarakara will change at kannur and conductor and bus will not change.while the bus returned at kannur from kolloor the first driver will be again in the driving seat. but from 2001 a new kannur super fast service started from kottarakara at 5 AM and reach kannur at 4PM. and returns from kannur at 6PM and reaches kottarakara by 5 am. after this the driver and conductor of kottarakara kollur bus finished their duty at kannur at 6.30 am and returned to kottarakara by 6 pm by the return trip of kannur superfast. the crew of kannur superfast returns from kannur at 4.20 am with kollur superfast. but from 2006 onwards the kannur superfast service cancelled and the mookambika schedule operation became under the controle of kannur depot. it became a super express service from 2010. now in 2012 the schedule operates from kottarakara depot and the service operates as a super express with conductor from kottarakara in the full route and driver will change at kannur.

  8. Being a local of Kollur, here are some tips for Kerala devotees…

Train is would be much safer/easier mode of transportation for longer distance travelling. Even though Byndoor Mookambika Road Station (BYNR) is nearby and it is 28 km to Kollur. But there is lack of facilities (restrictions) there as station is located in remote area. So it is better to get down at Kundapura Station (KUDA) around 38 km by road to Kollur . Plenty of trains are available (Netravathi Express, Mangala Lakshadweep Express, Nagacoil-Ghandidham, Thiruvananthapuram-Viraval many more)

Kundapura city is nearby to station 4 km. Plenty of Hotels / Lodges / travelling options are there. On every 15 min private luxury express buses moves from new bus stand / old bus stand & shastri circle etc.KSRTC (Govt) buses also moves from KSRTC Bus Stand.

Another world famous temple Sringeri Sharadamba Temple / Aadi Shankaracharya Peeta (Matt). Approximate 80 km from Kundapura. Pvt. & KSRTC Buses are available. Private taxi (Cab) would be much convenient cover faster.
