There was a record spurt in the daily income of KSRTC on Monday. The day saw a record collection of Rs 7 crore 33 lakh. Before this, the record per day collection was Rs 7 crore. On Monday, 33,71,000people travelled in KSRTC.

Though the day after the weekend usually shows an increase in collection, the record collection was something unexpected.

On the days that followed Vishu and Easter, there were heavy crowds inside buses.  However, the KSRTC was able to achieve this fete by inducting more buses into service on that day.

Earlier, about 900remained in workshops every day for various repair works and KSRTC was able to reduce this to 520-540 on Monday.
