Former chief minister Oommen Chandy has blamed the state government for the present crisis in the KSRTC.

“The KSRTC is going through its worst crisis with the management unable to pay salaries and pensions even today. The government has done nothing to address the grievances of the protesting employees. Hence, the chief minister should intervene ungently to resolve the crisis,” said Chandy in a letter to Pinarayi Vijayan.

The government is not able to even give an assurance on when it could release the salaries to the employees. There are only 10 days left for the December salaries to be given. It is almost certain that the salary advance usually given before Christmas will be denied this time, he said.
