KSRTC conductor allegedly beats passenger in Thiruvananthapuram

A KSRTC conductor has allegedly beaten up a passenger who was travelling on the bus carrying fish. The passenger, Joseph, a native of Alappuzha was injured on head in the attack and is admitted to medical college hospital.

The petition said, the accused attacked Joseph, who boarded the bus from Thampanoor bus stand, without any provocation. The reason behind the attack is unknown yet.

Seeing the incident, other passengers in the bus raised voice. Subsequently, the nearby people gathered at the spot and took Joseph to hospital. Auto drivers who were at the scene had witnesed the conductor hitting Joseph.

Following this, Thampanoor police registered a case against conductor Aravindh and took him into custody. He is being interrogated and after recording his statement, further actions will be taken, said police.

Meanwhile, Aravindh alleged that Joseph was drunk and he initiated the problem.

Video of the incident captured by one of the onlookers is being shared through social media. Aravindh and Joseph in a blood stained shirt are seen in the visual.
