As Per, Reports The driver, identified as Mohinuddin, drove the air-conditioned sleeper bus from Coonoor, Tamil Nadu to Bengaluru. The driver reached Bengaluru at around 2.35am. At 8 am, the vehicle entered the bus depot. Later, it was taken for wash and that’s when the body which was stuck in the undercarriage noticed. The Wilson Garden police were informed.

Speaking to Times of India, an official said that the deceased is aged between 30 and 40. “We arrested the driver under Section 304A (causing death due to negligence) and 201 (causing the disappearance of evidence of offense) of the IPC,” he added.

Terming it a bizarre incident so far, a senior KSRTC official told Times of India,”We’ve heard of accident victims being dragged by buses for 200-300 meters, but this has completely baffled us.”However, it is not clear if the person died after being run over by the bus driven by Moinuddin. There could the possibility that the man was run over by some other vehicle and his body got stuck beneath the bus later.

The police have sent the body for post-mortem. As the face is clearly seen, they are hopeful of its identification.
