BJP called for a dawn-to-dusk hartal in Kerala Thursday, to protest the murder of party worker Ramith in Kannur’s Pinarayi.
» Hospitals, medical stores, distribution of milk and newspaper are exempted from the shutdown.
» All exams of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kannur University, Calicut University and CUSAT scheduled for Thursday have been postponed and the revised dates will be announced later. Other varsities likely to follow suit.
» Those who are going to airports, those who are going to attend funerals and weddings and Hajj/Sabarimala pilgrims have also been exempted.
