Hero Flybe pilot crash lands plane with NO front wheel

This is the incredible moment a hero Flybe pilot crash landed a plane with NO FRONT WHEEL and 56 people on board. The BE331 flight left George Best Belfast City Airport at 11.20am, but shortly after departure on board staff reported a ‘possible nose gear issue’.

A woman was taken to hospital after the plane ‘crashed landed’ at Belfast International Airport this afternoon. Video footage shows the plane on the runway as it appears to nosedive into the ground.

The Inverness-bound Bombadier Q-400 was circling the skies for more than an hour in an effort to ‘burn fuel’.

Photographs from the scene show the aircraft tipped forward and resting on its nose, with fire brigade vehicles nearby. When it finally landed, the runway was closed to other aircraft and firefighters, paramedics and police were there to help evacuate the plane’s 52 passengers.

A Flybe spokesman said: “Flybe can confirm that one passenger was taken to hospital with a minor hand injury following an incident with one of our aircraft this afternoon which landed with its nose gear raised.
