Ford has introduced the updated 2019 EcoSport in India. The new EcoSport is available in five variants – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Titanium+ and the S variant.

Additionally, the Titanium trim can also be had with the optional feature-loaded Thunder pack. Mechanically, the Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ trims are available with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options, while the S variant can be had with 1.0-litre EcoBoost and 1.5-litre diesel engine option.

The entry-level Ambient trim is available in petrol as well as a diesel engine option. In terms of features, it gets standard equipment like front and rear power windows, manual AC with heater, electric swing gate with chrome lever, electric adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators, day/night inner rear-view mirror, driver passenger sunvisors and height adjustable front and rear headrest. The trim gets gloss black front grille, black fog lamp bezel, halogen headlamps, blacked out decal on B-pillar and B-Pilar and black door handles and outside mirror.

As for safety, it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, safe clutch start, front seat belts with pre-tensioner and load limiter, crash unlocking system, speed-sensing auto door locks, engine immobilizer, driver and co-passenger seat belt alert, rear parking sensors, emergency brake light flashing, 12V power source outlet in the front, approach lights and home safe headlamps, door ajar warning and rear child lock.

As for entertainment, it gets audio with FM, AUX-in, USB, along with four speakers, Bluetooth handsfree/Audio streaming and device lock. As for the interior, the base variant gets fabric seats, single tone dark environment theme, black door handles and 60/40 split rear seat. The speedo and tachometer come with gear shift indicator display, fuel computer with outside temperature display, courtesy lamp in front and rear and theatre dimming cabin lights.

The Trend variant gets all the features from the base variant, however, you additionally get a rearview camera, automatic AC, driver seat height adjust and driver passenger sunvisors with mirror for co-passenger. The trim comes with silver finish grille, body coloured ORVMs and door handles, silver inserts in the steering wheel and blacked out B-pillar strips. Additionally, the trim gets rear wash wiper and defogger as well as driver and passenger seatback map pocket.

As for entertainment, the Trend trim gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with embedded navigation, two front tweeters, microphone, audio control on the steering wheel and dual USB ports.

Titanium+
