In India, once a boarding pass is issued it becomes the duty of the airlines to make sure the passenger who has checked in boards the flight. Some people take this rule for granted and end up delaying flights as airlines keep announcing their name and ticket number sometimes for half an hour before they find them or finally decide to leave.
