Airbus Temple by an Indian Man

An Indian man is converting an Airbus A310 into a museum and temple. The 100ft-long aircraft was bought in an auction for £40,000 by Rakesh Dixit, a scrap dealer from Delhi.

Dixit had the giant fuselage – which once flew in Air India’s commercial fleet – transported over a thousand miles from Mumbai to Delhi via road.

It now takes pride of place in the yard adjacent to his home in Alipur, New Delhi Capital Region, India. Dixit plans to spend £150,000 transforming it into a museum and temple for Godman Sai Baba.
