Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has been planning to introduce the platform tickets in the Bus Stands from January 1st next year if everything is well in place. Telangana RTC, which is running in losses, is exploring various options to improve its revenues.
It is preparing to introduce the Platform tickets initially at MGBS, JBS, Kareem Nagar, Mahaboob Nagar, Nalgonda, Khammam and Warangal bus stands. The ticket cost likely to be Rs 5. At MGBS, there are approximately one lakh passengers and 20,000 visitors used to be board every day. With the introduction of platform tickets Rs. One lakh per day will be added to the exchequer of the TSRTC from MGBS.
