With a budget of Rs 7000, how can we plan a Goa trip from Banglore?

Hi guys, Since I have travelled on a budget trip approx 4K TO 5K from Bangalore to Goa. I shall lay down my experience below-

1)TRAVEL-There are various modes of transportation from bangalore to Goa (Road, Rail, Air),which depends on your budget.

TRAIN-There is one direct train from bangalore to vasco da gama(Train no-17316) which is on Wednesday which will cost 365 rupees for sleeper class one way, so round trip would cost around 800.

There is just one direct train, but there are many indirect trains on a pocket friendly budget for goa as low as 400 rupees. One should take-

There are many train from Bangalore to Hubli which takes around 8 hours, which will cost 170–200 per head in sleeper class or 2nd seating.

From Hubli there are many trains at a a very short interval throughout the day for goa which takes around 4 hours to reach goa, which costs around 160 rupees.

BUS-Bus fare varies from season to season. During peak season one can expect one way fare as low as 1000–1500,but in off season bus fare generally varies from 500–800.There are many bus operators from bangalore which can be found on Redbus.in.There are KSRTC buses also which runs both AC and NON-AC buses, which would also cost around 600–800.

FLIGHT – The flight fare also varies from season to season as low as 1000–1200,but it would also incurr an additional cost as Airport is far away from the city.

So if you go by train your round trip will sum upto as low as 1000 rupees and Bus or flight would cost around 2000–3000.

2)ACCOMMODATION – You can book Hotel through

Goibibo – https://www.goibibo.com/hotels/find-hotels-in-Goa/,which offers a lot of discount, which will get you a hotel for as low as 600–700 for two people near calungate beach. I stayed in Marshall Guest House, calungate which costed me around 700 for a double room with AC which was very near to the beach. There are many budget place near calungate beach such as Veronica Guest house, Gabriel Guest house etc. Calungate beach is near to baga beach, candolim and anjuna.

One can find hotels as low as 400–500 in Panaji which would be away from the beach.

3)Food-Goa is full with restaurants and cafes and shacks. One can find variety of food available here in goa, which also totally depends on your budget.

Since everyone has different food habits, for a day on an average food costs would come upto 300–500 per person.

4)Drinks– Since its goa, liquors are served at discount around 50% off. So on an average, it would cost you around 300 per head.

5)Local travel and sight seeing – One can hire a scooty or bike on rent on per day basis, as taxi and auto fares are very high in goa.

A scooty will cost around 200–250 per day and bike would cost around 300–350.

Without burning a hole in your pocket, you can easily plan a long awaited Goa Trip.
