Vigilance officials today raided KSRTC depot in Kottayam and found that two women staff had left the office before their duty time was over. The employees who got ‘trapped’ were junior assistants with Ticket and Cash counter department.

However, one among them is reportedly INTUC’s active worker. There is political pressure on the Vigilance depart and Transport department to avoid action against them, it is known.

The raid was conducted at 6:30 am under the supervision of KSRTC Vigilance Inspector. The team had raided the office on the first day of the September to take stock of tickets and do other inspections.

Three women employees are supposed to be on duty and the duty time is from 5pm to 9am. But it was learned that two among them had left for their homes early morning at three.

Meanwhile, there are also many complaints against Ticket cash counter superintendent regarding anomaly in official matters.
