A difference of opinion emerged between the Transport Department and the Managing Director of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on taking over of super class services by the Corporation.

It was learnt that KSRTC MD Antony Chacko rejected the directive of the Transport Department to file a fresh affidavit in High Court saying that the Corporation can’t take over the super class service as it doesn’t have sufficient buses and staff.

The existing affidavit was that the Corporation will take over the super class services in a phase by phase manner and will buy buses to meet the demand. The MD was firm that he would insist on the existing affidavit. But, Antony Chacko said that there was no such difference of opinion and the Corporation is responsible to obey the orders given bythe Transport Department.
