The KSRTC will launch its first inter-state service during the ongoing pilgrimage season from Bangalore to Pampa on November 21. Pampa KSRTC special officer M V Manoj said that the inaugural inter-state KSRTC service from Bangalore would leave at 3.30 pm and reach Pampa at 8 pm on November 22. Manoj said that KSRTC would deploy Deluxe Express buses for the Bangalore-Pampa special schedules. Other inter-state schedules, including Pampa-Coimbatore, Pampa-Palani, Pampa-Tenkasi and Pampa-Kanyakumari in the coming week would also be launched, he said.

The Pampa-Nilackal chain service showed a record increase of 921 schedules during the first few days of the Mandala Pooja season till November 18 as against 493 services operated during the same period in the last pilgrimage season, he said.

In long distance destination route, Chengannur bus station recorded the highest number of schedules with 160 as against 104 conducted during the period in the last season.

Kottayam bus station recorded 81 schedules as against 57, Pathananamthitta 38 as against 47, Erumeli 37 as against 26, Ernakulam 37 as against 21 and Thiruvananthapuram 18 as against 14, during the same period last season.
