We, the people from Pathanamthitta doesnt have a cheapest mode of travel towards Bangalore. KSRTC is completely avoiding the district by not providing any kind of Super Class services. Even the railway authorities close their eyes towards the one and only railway station, Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta District.

Pathanamthitta Depot doesnt have a Super Class service. There was a huge demand for extending the existing Thiruvalla – Bangalore Super Deluxe Air Bus which is operating via Ernakulam, Coimbatore and Salem. But the bus is making a good revenue for the corporation even if it is operating without having a proper online reservation system. Since, the service is operating by Thiruvalla depot for the last 5 years, it would be difficult to extend or transfer the service from Thiruvalla to Pathanamthitta.

Recently, KSRTC has started a Volvo Multi Axle Service from Kottayam depot by cancelling the existing Super Deluxe Air Bus Schedule. So, KSRTC can think about transferring that Super Deluxe service from Kottayam depot to Pathanamthitta to operate in Bangalore sector, so as to avoid the people in Pathanamthitta by paying huge amounts to private operators.

At present, three private Volvo Multi Axle buses are  operating from Pathanamthitta to Bangalore. And they charge a seasonal rate of Rs.1200 to 2500 depends on the requirement and rush.

Its high time for the authorities and ministers to open their eyes and to avoid the exploitation of the private operators in Bangalore sector by the people of Pathanmthitta.
