Upon coming to know about their humane act, Transport Minister Thomas Chandy congratulated them after calling them personally.

He also told them that both would be given a reward of Rs 25,000 each from his salary in recognition of their gesture.

Such noble deeds by the staff set a model for the society. Once we offer better service, it can boost the reputation of the public transport system, the minister said.
