The KSRTC depot has a daily collection between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 8 lakh.  The vigilance received information that the labour unions had transferred a huge sum of money to the depot.

However, there are no proper accounts to show how much money was transferred after the de-monetisation move. The daily collections of the depot is deposited at the SBT branch. The vigilance will be examining the accounts and other documents relating to the case.

There were allegations that after currency ban, large amount of money was exchanged to the depot and were made legal. Based on the complaints, the Vigilance was keeping tab on the depot for some time.
