Bengaluru: The services operated by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation from Bengaluru have been severely affected due to the Cauvery water dispute.

As the protests have intensified, the services have been stopped from Monday onwards. Accordingly, around 18 services are not operated daily. Authorities said the disruption of services is causing a loss of Rs 1.5 to 2 lakh to the corporation daily.

Keralites in Bengaluru are facing a tough time as the buses did not run for three consecutive days just before the Onam and Bakrid holidays. Authorities said that the services will be started if no problems are reported along the route after 6 pm.

Various organisations in Karnataka have called for a state bandh on Friday. Given the ongoing protests in Mandya and Mysuru, the bus services are likely to be impacted in the coming days.
