[dropcap]O[/dropcap]nce again, Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is about to give up their chances to earn big profit from their inter-state services during Onam season, while Karnataka RTC is geared up to welcome the festival season with additional facilities.

Karnataka RTC is thoroughly preparing for the coming festival season, including to provide special services, more facilities for passengers by providing comfortable travel in reliable buses. They do even charge double fare for their special services operating during weekends and peak timings like what private operators do. But here, our Kerala RTC officials now pretend to be unaware of the preparations being made by Karnataka RTC for the season.

Kerala RTC Buses in Bangalore

This time, Karnataka RTC has upgraded almost all their services to multi axle Volvo and Mercedes Benz buses, while Kerala RTC has only non ac Super Deluxe Air buses, which is almost 5 years old. And the amazing fact about Kerala RTC is that, they have downgraded all the AC buses which was doing Bangalore services to our typical Super Express buses, which is known as vibrating machines. 😛 lol..

Karnataka RTC Buses in Ernakulam

Nowadays, people who wanna travel long distance, wouldn’t mind paying money for the better comfort. Karnataka RTC has carefully studied the market and targets the IT professionals who will definitely spend their money to enjoy a splendid ride. Students will also use these facilities. At the same time, Kerala RTC is concentrating on local passengers for its long distance services. Just imagine to travel in a Super express bus for 16 hours from Kottarakkara to Mookambika. :-O I can’t even imagine how horrible it will be !!

It is Karnataka RTC and private travel agencies which will benefit from the lackluster approach of the Kerala counterparts. No one is depending on Garuda, the Volvo service owned by Kerala RTC from Thiruvananthapuram to Bangalore because most of the time it will be at garage. Just imagine, if u have booked a ticket for travelling in Volvo bus and you are getting an express bus instead of Volvo after reaching the bus stand??

None of our Bangalore buses are reliable now. Anything can happen at any time. If you are lucky, u can reach Bangalore on time. Crap express buses, Old Super Deluxe buses and one Volvo service.

Table given below has all the Bangalore services operated by both Kerala and Karnataka RTC’s. Just analyze the table and try to understand where we are standing if we compare to Karnataka RTC.

* – Special buses operated by Ka SRTC on weekends and holidays with high fare.
NA – Not starting any services from that particular depot.
