From now onwards, private luxury buses bound for Bengaluru from Alappuzha will not be able to fleece passengers. KSRTC has introduced its Luxury AC bus “Scania” on the Alappuzha -Bengaluru route. Two buses will ply from Alappuzha to Bengaluru. While the the first bus started its service on Sunday, the second one started on Monday.
Earlier, a deluxe bus used to ply from Alappuzha to Bengaluru. The Scania has been introduced in place of the deluxe bus and it has more facilities too. The ticket price is Rs 960. The bus will take the Mysore route to Bengaluru. The deluxe bus used to start from Alappuzha KSRTC bus stand at 5.30 pm daily.
However, Scania will start from the stand at 8 pm only. The schedule has been arranged in such a way that the bus will reach Bengaluru the next morning. The bus will start from Bengaluru on its return journey at 2.30 pm.
