The violence over the Cauvery water sharing dispute did not have a fallout on the KSRTC bus services from North Kerala to various destinations of Karnataka. The daily services from the region were not affected.

KSRTC Zonal officer Mohammed Safarulla K said that KSRTC will continue to operate its services from the region to Karnataka. “We have not yet cancelled any services from North Kerala to other destinations of Karnataka like Mangalore , Sullya. It would be a shock to the passengers if the services are cancelled. So we will try our best to carry out the services”.

The report from Kasargod says that the normal KSRTC services in Kasargod- Mangalore route were also not affected. Both Kerala and Karnataka plied their buses as usual on the route. “No service was cancelled, and we faced no trouble either,” said Kasargod KSRTC station master. Police officers at Manjeshwaram said the situation was under control.
