A special formula will be worked out to tide over the financial crisis being faced by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and to facilitate the repayment of loan taken from the Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation (KTDFC), Transport Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan told the Assembly on Monday.

“KSRTC is on the revival path. Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation has granted a total loan of `2949.54 crore to the KSRTC from 2001 till now. Revenue from 22 bus stations has been set apart for repaying the loan and `942.93 crore had already been repaid. KTDFC had given `192.71 crore to build bus terminal-cum- shopping complex at Thampanoor, Angamali, Tiruvalla and Kozhikode.

Terminals in Tiruvalla and Kozhikode are expected to become functional in July,’’ Minister said.
