Elaborate arrangements are being made for the test flight at the Kannur airport project site here, on February 29. The event will be organised as a major public function by the Kannur International Airport Ltd (KIAL) and the district administration.
A meeting to review the arrangements for the trial landing of aircraft was held at the Collectorate here on February. The meeting, chaired by Rural Development Minister K.C. Joseph, had directed the district administration to arrange special KSRTC buses from Iritty, Thalassery and Kannur to enable people to reach the site near Mattannur to witness the exercise.
