Is Tata’s build quality better than the Maruti Suzuki?

A big yes, Tata Motors products like Tiago, Tigor,Nexon,Hexa has better built quality. While new swift and new desire, Baleno has substandard built quality (even if you compare with same version cars which are present in European market). We are not going to repeat the fact which are given by other people.

Example 1 : Tata Tiago has become the best selling Tata vehicle in the market and is gaining on good popularity too. The affordable hatchback from Tata has been praised for its build quality, design, features and value for money. A bizarre accident took place between the Tiago and a tractor in Tamil Nadu and this is what happened. From the pictures, it can be seen that the left-hand side of the Tiago smashed against the tractor at night. The Tiago then rolled twice before coming to a rest on its roof. The tractor, however, took the impact on its body and it the engine part has fallen down. The pictures show that the impact was quite powerful.

There are multiple photos available on internet comparing Tata cars with other cars. Even Nano is doing well when it is colliding with expensive cars.

Example 2, Tata Nano vs Suzuki Swift : In below case both car got engine damages, Rear-engined nano took this impact like a boss and we are sure, Suzuki car will stay in service center for minimum 1 month.

Tata Nexon Receives 4-Star Crash Test Rating!

Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP) has crash tested the Tata Nexon sub-4m SUV under its #SaferCarsForIndia campaign, and the results are quite impressive to say the least. The sub-4 metre SUV received a respectable 4-star rating, making it the fourth car to receive the same after its sibling, the Zest, along with the Toyota Etios clan and the VW Polo.

Crash tested at 64kmph, Global NCAP rated the protection offered to the head and neck of the driver and front passenger as ‘good’, which is the highest rating a car can receive. Chest protection for occupants at the front, on the other hand, was rated as ‘adequate’, whereas the protection offered for the driver and front passenger’s knees were rated as ‘marginal’. Isofix child seat anchors, which are offered on the top-spec XZ variant, helped the SUV score a 3-star rating for child protection.
