The Minister was inaugurating the new KSRTC operating station at Ranni on Friday. He said the corporation had set up the station at Ranni after taking into consideration its importance as a major town and trade centre in the hilly tracts of Pathanamthitta and the government would extend every possible support in making it a model centre. He said it required a collection worth not less than Rs.12,000 to make a KSRTC bus service profitable. The Minister flagged off a limited stop fast-passenger bus service to Kudiyanmala in Kannur and a Venad bus service to Kottayam from the new operating centre.
