Preethi was travelling in RRE 792 (KL 15-6967) Punalur depot bus on 10/11/2011 at nearly 4:30pm from Ezhamkulam to Elamanoor. Two ladies including preethi approached towards the bus to enter through the front door, the conductor shouted them to enter into the bus through the back door. Ladies seats are allotted in the front portion of KSRTC bus, if the bus is having twin doors. So Preethi tried to get into the bus through the front door.
This attempt provoked the conductor and he gave double bell, while they were entering into the bus. They both were about to fell on the road, but soon the driver saw this and stopped the bus. Many people inside the bus shouted at the conductor on seeing his action. Then they entered into the bus. When the other lady took ticket the conductor refused to give balance and insisted to come and collect the balance from the back.
It was the driver who saved their lives in this situation. After this action also, the conductor’s behavior towards them was not good. So we request the authorities to take necessary action in order to avoid such incidents in our buses. Let us all work together and erase such offenses against women.
തിങ്ങി നിറഞ്ഞ ബസ്സുകളില്‍ കണ്ടക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ ടിക്കറ്റ് കൊടുക്കുന്നതിനായി പുറകില്‍ നിന്നും മുന്നിലേക്ക് ആളുകളുടെ ഇടയിലൂടെ ഇഴഞ്ഞിഴഞ്ഞ് നീങ്ങുന്ന കാഴ്ച്ച നാം സ്ഥിരം കാണാറുള്ളതാണ്‌. എന്നാല്‍ ടിക്കറ്റ് കൊടുത്ത് കഴിഞ്ഞ് പുറകിലുള്ള അവരുടെ സീറ്റില്‍ വന്നിരുന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞാല്‍ പിന്നെ അവിടെ നിന്നും വീണ്ടും എഴുന്നേറ്റ് പോകുക എന്നത് വളരെ അലസമായ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തിയായി തോന്നുന്നു. അതു കാരണം ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്നത് പ്രീതയെ പോലെയുള്ള അനേകം സ്ത്രീകളാണ്‌.
