  1. timings are still rubbish. it should leave pala by 7 or 8 pm and reach bangalore by 8am

returns should be after 5 pm from bangalore

  2. Wat a terrible timing….. why they cant run at an appropiate time? Its just an eye wash from the authorities.. KSRTC uses express services to run within the state and use super fast to run in longi routes…This stage is so pathetic.. After all there is not much differences in fares between express and sf. Why KSRTC is not thinking pratical???

  3. Getting a route via Coimbatore-Salem is highly unlikely. Still they could have scheduled it like this:

    15:30 Pala – Thodupuzha – Thrissur – Palakkad – Coimbatore – Sathy – Mysore – Bangalore 04:10
    17:30 Bangalore – Mysore – Sathy – Coimbatore – Palakkad – Thrissur – Thodupuzha – Pala 06:30

  4. Hi everyone, according to me, they have given the ideal timetable for this bus. Getting a new permit via salem is not possible now. We need to wait till the formation of next interstate agreement. At present Kerala RTC doesnot have any permit to run buses via Coimbatore, Sathyamangalam, Mysore. So that is also not possible.

The only choice for them is to run bus via Kozhikkode and Perinthalmanna.

So they have chosen a right way via Perinthalmanna, as it helps passengers to save money and time. Because of the night traffic problem, KSRTC is totally helpless in that case to reach the buses in Bangalore before 8Am.

I hope this bus will get good collection while coming back from Bangalore, because it starts before Kottayam deluxe and it is the only one superfast bus coming via Mysore, Vazhikkadavu. By the same time, this bus will affect the collection of Kottayam deluxe also.

  5. Does anyone know the departure time of MYS-TSR LSFP in the evening? Bangalore-Pala would be leaving Mysore around 6:00 PM I believe.

  6. This needs to be checked as the timing was changed due to night ban. That was a revenue puller for TSR depot , dont know the current status.

  7. The night ban starting @9pm so they should reroute the timings to reach the boarder before 8.30pm .if start @2pm i think they can cross before 9pm.

their decision to reroute through thodupuzha is very nice i like it …
When kotayam officials reroute there6pm bngr dlx through piravom 🙂
It will helps a lot of passengers from piravom and its surroundings Now they forced to go to ekm to catch bus.

  8. I think the bus can cross the border before 9:00 PM with the 3:00 PM departure from bangalore.

Why the online reservation for his from BLR is not yet started?

  9. Hi all,

This service is mainly helpful for those who are

    1. Going to Nilambur/VZKDV from Pala/Central-Travancore side at night.
    2. Going to Gudalur/Mysore (and Blore) from PMNA, NBR side early morning.
    3. Going to Central Travancore from Malabar side at night.
    4. Leaving Mysore to Kerala in the evening time.

This could be a success route even if not able to collect more PALA-Blore passengers.

  10. Hi all
this is a very good route, Passangers from central travancore can reach Gudalur early in the morning,
as well as this is an early bus to Mysore and Bangalore for the Nilambur, Gudalur passangers.
the bus passes through Nilambur at 3.30 am to Bangalore.
the bus should leave only at 5.30 am fro Gudalur. for the early starters fro gudalur to Mysore side, any way it can pass the thorapally check post only at 6 am ( 5Km fro gudalur. )

    • Jose/Anup,

In addition to this, could you please figure out timings of MPM-Gudalur (morning) and other Gudalur services so thta we can plan and make an updated time table including the new one to Gudalur service. Public mostly not aware about the timing of these interstate sevices.

      • Hi Mithun

I think Anto has already updated this details in Nilambur depot area previously. If you want morning MPM-Gudalur (Malapuram depot OOTY bus) at 4.40 am and MPM- Mysore at 7.00 am. Now most of the buses are entering at NBR bus stand and had to sign. Not sure about this pala bus. ATO also appointed at NBR depot.

        Regards
        Anup.Nair

  11. Thanks for the updates.. My idea is to make a time table for mainly interstate services and publish atleast in between our friend circle and relatives to educate and give awareness..!!

  12. Travelled on this bus this weekend from bangalore-pala. Worth with charges they applied. only concern is Mysore-trissur on 6 pm is receiving less travellers last friday it was only 5 passengers and the conductor confirmed they have this problem daily. As 3 kerala buses and one karnataka Mysore- ernakulam volvo(via coimbathore) is taking there passengers, should have a time change soon otherwise this bus will run to loss .

    Regards
    Anup.Nair

      • Hi Rajesh

Every 3 hrs they changed the driver once in Mysore then in Gudallur(hotel). I was travellign till Nilambur so no idea after that. Friday driver till Mysore was very lazy and almost took 3 hrs 10 mins after that by 8.30 it reached Gudallur and 9 it taken from Gudallur and reached nilambur by 10.10. This bus is not yet entering Nilambur depot.

        Regards
        Anup

          • Normally, it should take only 4.5 to 5 hrs to reach Gudallur from Bangalore. Sounds like both the drivers are from Pala.

I think patronage will be low in buses leaving Mysore around 6:00 PM as people are afraid if you get into a traffic block before the checkpost you will be stuck for the whole night.

    • At Present the Pala- Bangalore bus passing through Gudalur at 4.45 am.. I suggest that the bus should leave Gudalur only at 5.30 am, because after this the next bus fro Gudalur to Mysore is only at 8 am. ( any way it can leave Thorapally check post only at 6 am —– will get more passangers from Gudalur to Mysore and Bangaore–

Two buses each of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala will get Permission to pass through the Bandipur forest between 9 Pm and 6 am. for both ways. at present Karnataka, and Tamil nadu are running 4 buses ( 2 each both ways ), at Night . For Kerala 2 buses got Permission to go to Bangalore at Night: Guruvayoor- Bangalore, and KOttayam Bangalore, . while returning from Bangalore to Kerala only ONe bus got Permission and running — 11 Pm Bangalore- trichur bus.( the Bangalore- Kottayam is passing before 9 pm through )
please try to get one availabel permission and change the departure time from Bangalore – of Pala bus. start at around 6Pm from Bangalore and can reach palai at 6am. use full for night passangers.

  13. EARLIER THERE WAS ONE S DLX BUS STRATING FROM EKM AT 6 PM VIA GUDALUR. FOR A LONG TIME THIS BUS IS NOT THERE. ALSO THE 8 PM AND 9.15 PM AC DLX ARE ALSO CANCELLED. NOW I DON’T FIND ANY KeSRTC BUS FROM EKM IN THE EVENING VIA MYSORE. I WAS A REGULAR PASSENGER OF AC BUS AT 9.15 PM. NOW I AM COMPELLED TO SWITCH OVER TO 6 PM OR 7.15 PM RAJAHAMSA TO MYSORE. WHY NOT KeSRTC INTRODUCE ONE AIR BUS FROM EKM TO BANGALORE VIA GUDALUR?

IN THE S DLX BUS PASSENGERS WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT ABSENCE OF SEPARATION BETWEEN PASSENGER SECTION AND DRIVER CABIN. PROVIDING THE SEPARATION IS A REGULAR FEATURE IN ALL S DLX BUSES. THE FIRST KeSRTC BUS FROM TVM TO CANNANORE, INTRODUCED IN 1960s WAS HAVING THIS PARTITION. KeSRTC HAS GONE BACK IN ITS DESIGN CONCEPT!

OVERALL, KeSRTC NEED TO IMPROVE AND MODERNISE ITS BODY BUILDING AND MAKE BUSES MORE COMFORTABLE.

THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT 12 MTR LONG CHASSIS OF THE NEW BREED OF S EXPRESS BUSES. I TOO FIND IT NOT SUITABLE FOR THE GHAT SECTION JOURNEYS.

KaSRTC ARE INTRODUCING NEW AC BUSES IN ALL ROUTES INCLUDING VOLVO SLEEPER BUSES FROM EKM TO B’LORE VIS CBE, SALEM. WHY KeSRTC IS FINDING IT NON PROFITABLE TO RUN AC BUSES?

I HOPE THE NEW MD WILL LOOK INTO THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS AND ASPECTS OF KeSRTC AND MODERNISE ITS FLEETS BY ALL MEANS.

THE SITUATION IN THE RTC BUS STANDS ARE HORRIBLE. IN EKM BUS STATION, I STILL FIND THE WOODEN BENCHES WHICH WERE PALCED WHEN IT WAS INAUGURATED BY THE LATE. TRANSPORT MINISTER SRI. IMBICHIBAVA. WHY NOT AT LEAST WHITE WASH THE BUILDING AND PROVIDE NEW SEATS AND KEEP BUS STAND AREA NEAT?

  14. the bus from thrissur to mysore via perinthalmanna in the evening started around 4.30 p m and got repaired at pattikad nearer to perinthalmanna the bus got stranded there for about 5.45 p m the repair vehicle came in after repeated calls from passengers towards mysore called the depot of perinthalmanna. the drivers are not equiped or dont want to do just to get time wasted. the bus departed 6 pm and stopped at vazhikadavu for about half an hour inspite of knowing that the gudalur check post get closed for traffic the bus arrived half an hour late. the driver and the conductor just slept there living the passenger for their fate in the cold day in the night at forest it was very uncalled for from the part of transport corporation the other buses plying in the route guravayur to Bangalore, thrissur to Bangalore in the night would get permission from authorities but for the same transport corporation bus there is no permission to enter after time above 9 pm the government should ensure passage for the bus which gets delayed due to repairs and other lacunae i was traveling in the bus on october 2 nd 2012 ill fated bus stoped at the check post and did not move till 6 am i would like to tell that no one should travel above 6 pm form perinthalmanna to mysore other than bus which is not permitted to enter reserved area.
the bus from thrissur to mysore fast passanger bus started in afternoon should ensure good condition bus well equiped driver to understand the automobile mechanic, should ensure to pass the check post in time or the ksrtc should get permit for the said bus to move out of chekpost after 9 pm
