  1. Traveled in this bus once from Erankulam, 0600 hours towards Thrissur. I thought this bus might be running through Kollam-Chenkotta.

    • Vipin , This bus doesnt come to Ernakulam, then how did u managed to travel in this form Ernakulam to Thrissur?

Also Ernakulam – Madurai bus is going via Kottayam, Kumali.

  2. Not sure. I remember this very clearly. RAK 156 of KNR with Glass windows, Curtains and Good seats and Kannur-Madurai label on the rear side.

  3. I traveld in this bus once from PLKD to MDRI(around rs.125 fare). I didn’t got seat, but got the gear box to sit. The bus routed via L&T byepass and turned to Pollachi. After pollachi, What a ride was it? The bus moved very fastly, and I felt the speed becs I was sitting on the gear box. The bus overtook several TN/tourist buses, other vehecles and only one Volvo overtook our bus on the way, that’s after agreat trouble.
The ride in that bus was very much interesting..

  4. usually this bus reaches kannur before 5.00 am and some times 3.30am ,i had travelled a lot in this bus from kannur to madurai and madurai to kannur

  5. shortest route between kannur- madurai is via (kozhikkode – thrissur-perumbavoor-kothmangalam-munnar-bodinayakkanur). 90%of the distance is in our state and it passes through beautiful places like valara, munnar.suryanelli, anayirangal, and bodimettu.and there is NO direct bus from these places. Authorities pls.consider this matter and materialise immediately

  6. I dont want to stop that route. those who are from these areas can reach madurai and kannur very easily. its an aternative. There are three or four bus route to banglore from ernakulam. one is via coimbatore. another one perinthalmanna, nilambur, and kozhikkode mysore.Running time is also different. So pls consider

  7. I came back to Madurai from Kozhikode on 31st May 2013 night. The bus was started from KKD at 9.30pm and reached Madurai @ 6.30am.

Friendly Conductor, Skillful Driver, good Bus. I never forget that green color bus.

If KSRTC management will consider booking facilities at Madurai, that is much helpful to all. Both states are having moving population beyond 2 states. I suggest the management for the new bus service from Madurai.

    i) Madurai to Ernakulam ( to be increased)
    ii) Madurai to Thiruvananthapuram
iii) Madurai to Kasaragod (via Kannur)
iv) Madurai to Kozhikode (via CBE, PKD)
    v) Madurai to Kalpetta

Fellow travellers, please also request the management to consider new routes. Thanks

  8. Dear Sujith

In Madurai, if we want to go Kerala, we are using Arapalayam Bus Stand, for link buses.

So, if Kannur-Madurai Bus will connect Arapalayam Bus Stand for 2 minutes, much helpful to many passengers. Please try to Consider

    • Dear Krishna Kumar, You have 2 options. 1) Coimbatore bus from Arapalayam bus stand. Then, KSRTC Palakkad bus from Ukkadam bus stand, coimbatore.

      2) KSRTC Kannur bus from Mattuthavani bus stand (around 4.30pm). You can reach palakkad directly around 10.30pm.
