Bangalore Tiruvalla Super Deluxe Air Bus

KSRTC is running a Super deluxe air bus from Bangalore to Thiruvalla and vice versa. This service started around 5 years back when Mathew T Thomas was the transport minister. This is one of the finest and perfect schedule of Kerala RTC. Most of the time the bus used to maintain the proper timings. The bus is well maintained and timing is also perfect.

The schedule started with two Super Fast Buses (RR 48 and RR 49 then RRC 151 and RRC 161) and later they upgraded the service to Super Deluxe Air Buses RRC 966 and RRC 979 and now its running with RSC 674 and RSC 675 .

KSRTC DEluxe bus with wifi and sticker

The bus would depart from Thiruvalla at 2.20 p.m. on all days to reach Bangalore by 6.00 a.m. the next day.

From Bangalore, The Bus leaves at 6.20 p.m on all days to reach Thiruvalla by 8.30 a.m the next day.

for latest and updated bus timings of KSRTC

  1. Please confirm the daily schedule of Kottarakkara – Bangalore Super Deluxe bus. Need a pickup point at Electronic City for Kerala KSRTC busses.

  2. now ksrtc kerala hav pick up point at St.Johns Hospital Near Madiwala. You need to tell them at the time of booking ticket. they ll mention that on the ticket.

  3. I happened to travel in the Madurai – Thiruvalla Super Deluxe on 28th February. There were only 8 passengers in the bus when it left Madurai Central Bus Stand and three more boarded from Arappalayam bus stand. Normally this route has a very high occupancy rate compared to any other route. We can see a lot of passengers who came to board the bus but after hearing the fare they dropped the plan. It would be better if the Super Deluxe bus is replaced with a Super Fast Service and it will have very high patronage from Madurai to Kumily and from Kumily to Kottayam & Changanassery. The plan to run a Super Deluxe in this route was decided without considering the traffic pattern in the route. KSRTC should plan all this before starting any service and have to operate correct service. At the same time Madurai – Ernakulam Super Fast Service is running with almost 95% occupancy rate.

  4. No. It goes via, Kottayam, Kumily, Cumbum, Theni, Usilampatti. For going to Dindigual get down at Theni. There will be one service to Dindigul for every 15mins from Theni. It will take 2hours from Theni to Dindigul. I am not sure about the departure time from Thiruvalla

  5. The same thing which is happening to thiruvalla bangalore deluxe bus. first it was a superfast bus, at that time from bangalore only the bus will be fully occupied almost all the days. now its not happening for the super deluxe bus has started the service. the conductors are also telling the same thing. but the collection is not gone down as they are charging more compared to the superfast.

  6. For the opening of a Bus service, several factors to be accounted..Significance , growth & importance of places, Existing connectivity..Type of passengers..seasonal variations in travelling..road condition..Timing etc..All these require thorough study & feed back. It’s a fact that KSRTC is ruled by people who want to please their hometown..
TVLA-BNGLR Trip also started with of political patronage
…Between KTR-CGNR &.PTA-TVLA there’s no Rail connectivity..Peoples from this area have to go (Usually in LSORD/SFP/TAXI/AUTO) either KTM or CGNR/TVLA to catch up BNGLR Bus/Train.From November-January season thousands of Sabarimala devotees travel by train upto CGNR/PTA..
Moreover many Pvt services operate from KTM sector.
.If all these factors taken into account the existing (TVLA-BNGLR) could have started from PTA/CGNR/ADR.
When next ministry comes in power the picture may be different..This is what is going on in KSRTC..

  7. Hi Sujith

What is the present situation regarding no of passengers uses this bus in weekdays and weekends?

From thiruvalla lot of private buses are runnig towards bangalore. I think almost all operators have service to thiruvalla (either to tvla or to another places through tvla). I have travelled several times int his route. All of the time atleast 6 to 7 people from single bus is there to board or get down at tvla. But i am not understanding why this bus is empty on all days( as per the comments here).
Can you please let us know the present status of this bus?

    • The bus is getting good patronage now, especially from Thiruvala, alappuzha and Ernakulam, Most of the time, they are not entering Thrissur bus station, because before that, the bus will be fully packed. On the return trip, they are getting good patronage, because it is going via Ernakulam and Alappuzha.

Also it is reaching at early morning at ekm and there is no other deluxe/good bus from blore to ekm via salem. So people prefer this bus.

        • Also one more question. can i book return ticket ie tvla-bangalore from majestic ksrtc office. Also exactly where is ksrtc majestic office? i went to ksrtc bus station and searched for kesrtc booking office. i was not able to find. If you know please let me know the platform number near to kesrtc ticket counter

          • In majestic, its near to the State bank ATM, you can ask for Karnataka RTC reservation counter, its in the same place. Just opposite to Karnataka counter.

  8. Most of d time am travell in dis servies. Now a days dis srvic almst canceld, so I am nt trsted dis srvce. Last week I get dis bs 2 banglr unfrtnte bs was brkdwn before rch alappy.. Hw irrspnsble dey R.. Shame on u operatrs…

  10. please tell e whether we can book ticket online for the thiruvalla to Banglore? In "Sarrathi "source station Thriruvalla is unavailable.please confirm.

  11. I have used this service few times to come to Bangalore as it was easy to book at TVLA station. It is a good service in general.

Only negative aspect is time wastage as the bus stops at Changanacherry (after many u-turns) and Ernakulam. The trip to ERN bus station itself waste more than 1hour. It could have used Vytila mobility hub.

Also online booking is available from Bangalore only.

  12. The bus is temporarily cancelled. Instead an Express is running as a Special Service.
Heard that Garuda resumed its run. Is that true?

  13. Bangalore Thiruvalla Bus cancelled due to bed bugs, plsconfirm.

  14. KSRTC should start multi-axle interstate bus services especially to Bangalore & Chennai from Hqrs. of each of the districts of Kerala. The staff of the bus should be professional and encouraged, and put on additional responsibility for keeping the bus in neat & clean condition with offering collection incentives.. People want good comfort in long journies. Almost all private bus operators are operating multi-axle buses in these routes with packed passengers. Why KSRTC is lagging behind? Will the Minister Aryadan Mohammad look into this and do the needful instead always crying KSRTC is in LOSS, LOSS, LOSS?
