The APSRTC East Godavari region would be operating 350 additional buses from January 8 to 21 to clear extra rush of passengers during Sankranti festival. These services are between Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapujram, Razole and Tuni depots and Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam and other important destinations.
According to RTC regional manager Ch Ravi Kumar, bulk of these services would be from and towards Hyderabad for the convenience of people travelling to different destinations.
He said the passengers can avail online reservation well in advance. Also, buses for pilgrimage of Ayyappa devotees, to Srisailam and other pilgrim centres were available, he added.
